![]() This is a Treasure Hunt dungeon, meaning you can only access it through the Timeworn Kumbhiraskin Map item. The Resplendent Feather item only comes from one place, The Excitatron 6000 dungeon. Prices may vary depending on your server, but expect to pay around 10 million gil for it currently. The Alkonost Whistle will cost you three Resplendent Feathers.Īlternatively, you can pick up the Alkonost Whistle on the Market Board. ![]() Talk to Nesvaaz and select the menu option “Out-of-this-world Oddities” to see the item. This item is available from the vendor Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han (X: 10.6, Y:10.0). You can unlock the Aklonost by acquiring an item called the Alkonost Whistle. It involves getting treasure maps and running the new treasure hunt dungeon. If you’re looking to gain this mount, it’s pretty straightforward, but you will have to do some leg work. The FFXIV mount has a little bit less of the “half-woman” part, being more half-lizard riding a half-woman creature would be very, very odd. One of these mounts is the bird-like Alkonost, based on the half-bird, half-woman creature from Slavic folklore. With Patch 6.1 for Final Fantasy XIV, the FFXIV team added another batch of mounts to collect. This would make it sound a lot like you could really farm the quest rewards in a big way.A mount hunter’s job is never done. I read one post that suggested the quest could be run maybe four times in a day. It's just another toy, tossed out by the ring of fire. It's not the greatest prize in the world, but it's not entirely a booby prize either. (Even my feeble necromancer wouldn't be concerned with the weight of this thing!) And getting faction to get into Katta Castellum, is a pain in the bum. The extra weight isn't a big deal, unless you're a monk. (And I dare say you'd be really bled for it!) Having said this, the satchel isn't obtainable by anyone over level fifty-two, unless you want to trade for it. Neither the treasure hunter's satchel, nor the Tinkerer's bag are LORE. However, for a monk, this makes it an item to drool over. The bag dropped by Vox has a weight of 0.0!!! For most of us, this is of no real interest. (The bag is a Treasure Hunter's satchel and also drops from Nagafen, Ragefire and Severillious.)Ī Tinkerer's bag has a weight of 1.0. However, the bag dropped by Vox is exactly the same, excepting the weight. You are indeed correct about the Tinkerer's bag being a bought item. Raids that would make mince meat out of a Kunark dragon fail miserably in RoF. We have yet to finish the Ring of Fire, mostly because we can't seem to get enough people on to make a decent attempt. In some cases, the last person to attempt to engage the dragon in combat doesn't hit attack fast enough to get in a hit before the dragon dies. Our guild typically drops any of those dragons in 30 seconds or less. ![]() Regarding the difficulty of the fight, overall, it is considerably more difficult than Vox or Nagafen or any of the Kunark dragons that drop the same bags that Vox and Nagafen drop. Anyone besides a monk would love to have it though, I am sure. It would be useless to any monk high enough in level to participate in the fight required to get the item. As a monk, this bag would be useless to me. I play a monk, so that little bit of weight matters.Ĭonsidering what you have to do to get this bag, it should be at least as good as a tink bag and really it should be as good or better than a Vox/Nagafen bag. I know what the dragon bags weigh, because I have one of each in my inventory. Many people don't care about the weight of an item you see and so they don't bother to submit that info. I suspect that someone got the 0.0 weight because that is the default weight here at Allakhazam's when someone does not submit a weight with the item stats. They are a Treasure Hunter's Satchel and something else, I forget what it is called exactly (forager's pack?). There are two different bags that drop off of Vox and Nagafen and some of the Kunark dragons.
